Castles of Wales Day Trip

Castles of Wales Day Trip from Liverpool

Visit the mighty fortress and World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle (entrance included) and the stunning setting of Dolbadarn Castle in Wales. Caernarfon Castle was one of Edward I’s most ambitious projects – and one of the most visited attractions in Wales due to its sheer size and impressive architecture. After visiting the castle we will have free time for lunch in Caernarfon town. Next it’s a visit to Llanberis and the scenic Welsh Castle of Dolbadarn – set on Llyn Padarn Lake at the base of the Snowdonia mountain range. A great beauty spot in the UK!

variations on the trip

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan and British weather can be changeable. If the guides deem the area to be too flooded, icy or if there are extreme high winds or heavy rain we may offer an alternative to Dolbadarn Castle which would be to visit the town of Conwy – another beautiful medieval town in Wales. We do believe in getting outside and enjoying the outdoors so if it’s simply raining, please come prepared as we will get wet (and have a great time doing so!).
